Mounted on a Delta 880 Metal/Wood Band Saw S#62-4021 (1948)that I acquired 35 years ago. Fully functional, sits in the shop and rarely used. Going to be cleaned and restored and is going home. Complete disassembly. Field wire insulation brittle where it came out of the motor - redone. Cleaned commentator - Brushes will last another 70 years. I was surprised to find bronze bushings with a rope oiler. Cleaned the over paint (kind of silver) I think, and from other samples of Wagner motors that I saw that it was all black. But as some one else said, "Its mine and I'll paint it what I want." After restoring a Delta 17 drill press and 14 inch Band saw I was a little tired of "Dark Machine Gray"
