This jointer belonged to my father who had it from the 1950's to mid 80's. He gave it to a friend but it was stored rather than used. I got it back looking quite sorry this July.

With the advice of Warren Biro in Princeton Ontario, who also has a 3800 posted to OWWM and Ralph at Ace Tool Repair in Smithers BC, I stripped, cleaned and put it all back together on a new base and am now using it in my shop. It is a great machine.

There is no model number anywhere on the machine, but Ralph suggested that cast iron usually has numbers on the parts. "38**" showed up on a lot of them and along with Warren's pictures, I am sure this is a 3800.

My dad has his initials scribed into it, so I can't use it without thinking about him.
