This was a freebie. The original motor committed ritual suicide and the previous owner ran into some kind of issue with the people who were supposed to rewind it. Having a vintage saw with no motor taking up this much space wasn't highly desirable, so he posted it on Craig's List. A friend of mine donated a freshly rewound motor from a later vintage machine (which accounts for why the motor and machine are different colors), and we were off to the races.

As you can see, it's even got the fixed pieces from the original table -- and they're in remarkably good shape. That's a 6" square sitting next to the original switch cover (for scale). The original switch was wired to the motor when it was sent off, so I need to come up with a replacement. It mounted to a flat on the rear of the right side of the arm. You can see in the picture that the motor currently has a corded plug. It will not be used like this.

Since you're limited to three pictures, I'll post a full shot of the saw once I get it situated in its permanent home. Right now, there's too much clutter in the way of a good view.

Before the saw is placed into service, the motor will need to be properly wired to a switch. The table is fairly rough and uneven, so a replacement will be forthcoming -- possibly even scaled up to match the capacity of the saw.
