Comments:
This saw is currently in a shop in Peoria, IL. I met a man that worked in the shop from 1958 until a couple years ago. He still goes in occasionally to do some work. Floor to top of the saw measures about 9 feet 5 inches! It sits on wood slabs so the bottom wheel will not hit the floor. The top wheel is laminated wood- very solid. Babbitt bearings. The bottom wheel is iron. Powered by a 5hp GE 440 volt motor. Primarily wanted to submit the "Shop No" tag and enter info in the registry at this point. Doug Westlind indicates this saw was probably mfg'ed within a couple years of 1920. This saw may need a new home.
