Recently acquired this Powermatic Model 143 Bandsaw. This is basically a Powermatic Model 141 with a two speed (high/low) gearbox and four belt positions for cutting metal.
It's a great machine but needed new tires and an oil change (in the transmission) before I could put it to use. It runs on 220 and has a nice 3/4 hp Robbins & Myers motor. I like it because it fits well in my small shop but does not have a small saw personality.
It has its original paint, obviously well used, and a service tag from Ben Alpren Machinery in Lewiston, Maine. The inside top wheel cover/guard has the original Powermatic inspection tag signed by a "H.B. Scott" on 9/20/1963.
Looking for a good fence and a door for the base.
