Before shots of this piece are shown in this index. I restored this machine at the shop of former owner Dave Foley of Vernon, Ca. I would be remiss if I didn't extend proper plaudits to Mr. Foley who lent a helping hand, and a heavy one at that. Anyone who can lift those 38" wheels on and off their shafts without breaking his back deserves morethan mere "plaudits." This machine was restored to former glory for Mr. John Friel of West Virginia, I'm sure he'll enjoy years and years of trouble free use. The feed unit can be unbolted and swung out of the way, so the machine can be used as a standard band saw. It is a 10 h.p. direct drive machine with separate feed works and motor.
All ball bearings were replaced with new sealed Fafnirs, all ways and screws cleaned masked and the machine was repainted. This machine is so vibration free that we actually stood a dime on edge while running 12" Rock Hard Eastern Maple through. Sandy Adelson
