Comments:
I am an American living and working in Chile South America. Finding a table saw down here in Chile is next to impossible. People simply make their own with various materials and their construction and sawing results do not have precision on the priority list.

After about 2 years of looking I was getting desperate and about to import something from the States when I came across this old beat up Craftsman (King-Seeley) 10" floor cabinet saw. I found it in a work shed where it was continually being abused. I made my mind up right then and there I was going to have that saw. After several months of persistence the owner said he would trade me a chain saw for it.

SPECIAL NOTE: I would like to thank Old Woodworking Machines and the other members for the help that I found on this site in making this restoration. The end results would not have been possible with out the information I found on this great site. I found the "Original Operating Instructions and Parts List" for this model saw which included all assembly drawing and blowups that detailed every part. Every part (down to the last screw) was taken apart cleaned and inspection. I was able to identify what parts were missing (there were many), what parts were broken or not working and why, and I was able to repair them, make new ones, or have them machined to fit. Modifications to support a 5hp motor, and a new precision fence have brought this old table saw back to even better operating condition and precision sawing preformance then when it was new. Long live old quality woodworking machinery. Thank you.

The following pictures do not show the actuarial restoration, or the Biesemeyer type fence construction and assemble, or any details where special attention was given to insure all key components were ready willing and able to take on the new 5hp motor. If you would like to see or discuss any of this then please send me an email at fwp@baronchile.cl
