I was looking through a local tool/machinery seller one winter and came across this drill press sitting on a dirt floor in his barn. It was pretty complete. The motor was incorrect and the press had been set up for metalwork - it only had slow speed pulleys on it. The exposed metal was very rusty and it took a long time to polish it up. It's a very simple machine, but some of the detailed "jobs" needed to complete the restoration were difficult without the right tools.

I was able to source all of the missing components off eBay for relatively little money. It now has the correct motor and pulleys.

I polished up almost every bit of iron on the machine and repainted everything. It's a great drill press now, and I use it all the time. I like my tools looking good - it slows me down while working with them and makes me take more care on myself and the tool when using them.
