I accquired this machine in Sep. 2005 from a chair factory that had closed down in Enterprise, AL many years ealier. The building had been torn down and the machines left outside for about a week when I got the heads up that this machine was avaliable. I purchased it for $75. The machine is actually in better shape than the pictures appear - most of the red stuff on the machine is actually years of red clay dust caked on the paint job rather than rust (I thought it was rust when I was e-mailed the pictures which is partily why I gave a low ball bid on the machine!). A bit of cleaner, water and elbow grease cleans the dirt off to a nice machinery gray paint job. Some surface rust on the unpainted parts but nothing that won't clean up. All shafts turn freely - including the 1 1/2 HP three phase motor that was also included. I will clean her up, give her a new paint job and probably replace the bearings (even though they don't appear to be bad, better to do it while the machine is apart).
More photos to come as I get her restored.
