Bought this Yates American U31 Vertical Borer for $250 in Conn.from a dealer who lost his lease on storage building(3 floors of OWWM's and parts,he's having a blow out sale this week and next,contact me if interested in going,bring flash light and pair of gloves
and cash).Now more on the vertical borer;Serial No. B-13071,Head motor 3 h.p.,220 volts,
3 ph.,Oscillating motor 1 h.p.,220 volts,3 ph.,Table size 32"wide,24" deep,tilts 45 degrees forward and 45 degrees backwards,rotates 360 degrees,raises and lowers 16".The head motor has stop that controls depth of hole.It has foot pedal for manuel operation
and another pedal for automatic operation.The machine came with a adjustable fence and holdowns.The vertical borer was designed for furniture,chair and carriage work.Five bits were furnished from the factory (3/8",1/2",3/4",7/8" and 1" diameter).Wasn't looking for
this machine but couldn't pass it up for that price and I do like Yates American machines if you haven't noticed yet.
