This drill is no longer mine or in my possession. It has moved onto a Rochester, NY native. I purch'd this at the Fall Connecticut Antique Machinery Association's Show in Kent, CT on Sep 23, 2017 for $40.00 from a vendor of "New Planet" agricultural tools. Chris had no further history on the dp. It is in fairly good operable condition with all of it's chuck pieces and chuck key. It is only missing a top turning hand wheel, and some square head tightening bolts. Note that it has two speeds, original wooden handle, etc. The shiney part at the very top is an odd piece of steel to protect the exposed arbor end. As a Rochester, NY native, I find this extremely interesting. FYI, the J. in J.W.Manneer stands for John, thank you Jeff J. The spot where this dp was mf'd in Rochester is now a parking lot and semi-green space on Exchange St. near the Ford St. bridge. IIRC, the chuck on the press is a Manneer offering named "THE BOSS" and can be found on page 18 of this publication/PDF: http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/7357/23295.pdf
