Comments:
This lathe came from a trade school and is in excellent operating condition, although its been repainted several times. The original Oliver banjo is gone, replaced by a Powermatic banjo which takes 1 1/8" post tool rests. An outboard stand came with the machine which handles the 1" post of what appears to be Oliver tool rests. 7 tool rests and a 6" three jaw chuck came with the machine, and it pushed me to install a phase converter in the shop.

Variable speed control, 1 1/2hp 3ph motor, tags from Oliver and the trade school. SN# 201,999 dating it to May 1972.

A very sweet lathe.

Comments: The Lathe. Probably should clean up the background. Powermatic banjo.

Comments: Outboard side. Turning a large piece here is like sitting behind an out of control steering wheel.
