This little machine was found on local 'Gumtree' (online buying site) in Cape Town, I was in such a hurry to purchase the little saw that I forgot to ask if the owner had any additional history about the saw. i have since lost the details of the owner and now will probably never know its previous history. This is certainly an example of early Delta Machinery imports to South Africa, I can estimate it is early 30's model from the pressed steel construction of the upper/lower wheels. Overall the machine was in decent restorable condition with a only a couple of thumbscrews for the blade guards missing. The machine is in the process of being fully restored and I will add additional pictures once completed. Progress of the restoration will be posted on OWWM site.
I think it is going to make a nice addition to my shop.
