It seems that this particular configuration of the Newton borer is rather rare--at least this is the first that's appeared on Vintage Machinery.
In essence, this is a B-100 Horizontal Borer with the pneumatic controls of a BA-600. Both the clamping mechanism and the table movement are controlled via air cylinders that are actuated by a foot pedal
Many horizontal borers require special drill bits in order to work--not so with this machine--it has been factory-equipped with Jacobs chucks.
The BA-100 is listed in the June 1988 Newton Price List (http://www.vintagemachinery.org/pubs/1102/2947.pdf), with an MSRP of $2,225.00--that's $4,615.67 in 2017 dollars.
