This machine does not belong to me. It is the property of email correspondent Thomas Brown, on whose behalf I am posting these pictures.

The machine has a brass plaque with the name of M. B. Tidey. This was a surprise, since we have never seen a Tidey jointer before. But the owner dug through the thick peeling paint and found another label. It is very difficult to read, but our best guess is "J. A. Fay & Egan Co. / Wood Working / Machinery / Cincinnati, O. U.S.A. / Est'd 1830".

The machine also has a patent date on it: Feb. 11, 1908. That corresponds to a patent assigned to Fay & Egan:
