I bought this saw from a used equipment shop in Washington state. It was repainted and the top ground. He supplied a 3 HP motor for building a rotary phase converter. It has a 1-1/2 HP, 3 phase motor, original, but it appears to have failed today. It has been operated on the phase converter since I bought it in about 1984. The used equipment dealer installed the modern guard which works well. The dealer said it came out of a old woodworking business (sawmill/cabinet shop???) in Washington state.
