This is a 4" "Work Ace" bench jointer made by JD Wallace Co. Has a very low sn #861
so mybe an early one. Information about this was obtained fron this site. I found this in the attic if a friends shop. Bearings needed replacment and had the knives sharpened. Cleaned up the beds and repainted the tool. It is now mounted on a stand and powered from a 1/2hp motor. Looking at the back side it was not one that had the attached 1/4hp motor.
Wallace had a movable motor stand and this might have been powered by one of them.
