This press is in great shape. I found it in a garage in San Jose, California, away from the salty coast air and the humidity of the Eastern US. Also, this unit has riveted brass inventory tags on both the press and the motor indicating that is was used in a business and was probably well cared for much of its life. In 2012 I had a machinist fix the bearings inside the quill area (I don't know the exact parts) and he trued it up nicely.
I list this as both a woodworking machine and a metal machine because it is really too small for much woodworking, but that's what I used it for, and that's why it has plywood attached - to give longer boards a little more support.
It has a 1/4 HP Marathon motor and a previous owner added a switch which I kept.
