Acquired from eBay 5-28-17 for $272 plus shipping. A 1939 ad listed it for $10.29! It is in excellent condition showing slight use and retaining 90% plus of the original paint. It is my intention to get it running and perhaps turn some pens. After that it will be donated to the Stephenson County Historical Museum of Freeport, IL. One of the reasons I am writing this is it is missing some key parts, namely the drill chuck and spur center. Any help would be appreciated. My name is John Hoefer and I will be submitting tomorrow a photo of the Hoefer camaelback drill press I donated to the museum a couple of years ago. Oh yes I am the grandnephew of the founders of the Hoefer Manufacturing Co. That was in the late 1890's so I am also old, at 85.
