Found this sander on a gov web site, have been looking for this model for over 10 years now finally have one. I have to admit that I did step up and pay full pop for it but well worth it. After a long day trip to Ottawa and back to the Waterloo region, unloaded it (610lbs.) at the shop and began the tear down. It came 220 volt 2 hp single phase so for a change I did not have to change the motor and starter. I took all of the extra High School safety crap off the machine and welded up the holes that were left, changed the dryer hose dust collection for some real 3" clear industrial hose, installed a lit start stop station as well as start stop at the contactor box. Then gave it a fresh paint job and lettering, the only thing missing was the table hand wheel which General was able to provide. Placed it on a new Shop Fox mobile base and hooked it to dust collection, I wont be missing my old Busy Bee sander any time soon. Gotta love the Green Machines, I think I'm up to around 11! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NEXq_8G6QFQ
