This drill press was used in making banquet tables in the 40's and 50's. The business was purchased by my father-in-law during the early 60's along with all the equipment which also included a Delta table saw/jointer and a 12 1/2" surface planer. This equipment was used in various endeavors until he sold the business in 1998 at which time I was able to put them in my shop. They were only used a little until I retired in 2014. In 2016 I went through cleaned and set up the table saw, jointer, drill, and planer for use in making exotic wood cutting boards. Everything is as it was when I received them. The press has a galvanized sheet metal guard for the belts that is obviously not original. The original motor has been replaced as new mounting holes were drilled for new motor.
