Spotted in salvage yard. Horribly cannibalized and converted to a pedestal grinder. An internet search turned up photos of only two other examples, which must have been a different model, as they had casting bosses and the heavy bars for the drill holders both sides, and this example is only right-handed. Motor is GE. There are design affinities with the "New Yankee" drill grinders of the Wilmarth & Morman Co., Grand Rapids, MI, and with the "The Yankee" drill grinders of the G.T. Eames Co., Kalamazoo, MI. (see the entry for the Atlas Press Co. for the complex history of this company). With the passage of time we may discover connections.
