The original owner's name and address in L.A.(pre-zipcode) is printed on the shelf on the base. I bought it from his grandaughter. It runs like a sewing machine. Factory paint. I understand that Delta added the belt-guard in 1937 and i believe the base casting is different(with outside bolt bosses) and the top of this base is hardwood, the later ones may be all metal.
