Quite a few nice pieces of (mostly) well-worn Old Arn were up for grabs at the Paradise Equipment Auction on Memorial Day Monday, including this one: a 1948 Delta Unisaw with it's original single phase Marathon Electric Repulsion-Induction "bullet motor", Micro-Set rip fence, non-original dust door, and a Cutler-Hammer magnetic starter. While intently looking down into the cabinet to check out the arbor, I was startled by a familiar voice: "Hey, what are you doing with MY Unisaw ?!" said a grinning Noel Dempsey (a favorite vintage machinery dealer from Virginia). . . I guess he came out of retirement, at least for one day!
