Bought this jointer in July 2005, after seeing it in an ad in the local newspaper. I purchased it for $250.00. It wasn't a steal but it just kept calling out to me... such an odd machine!

The stand doesn't appear to be an original, although I don't even know what the original looked like. It is welded angle iron but nicely done.

The tables are plate steel instead of machined cast iron and are 3/4" thick. This is one heavy jointer. The base for the tables is cast iron though. The tables need to be reground as there was some bad rust at one time that slightly pitted it. The length of the machine is 60". It sports a 4 knife cutterhead.

This machine seems very similar to the Davis & Wells machines of that era. It has some crude castings on the fence and fence handles. Check out the funky handle for raising and lowering the back table... it sticks way out!

A very cool machine... let's see now I have 4 jointers... I need help... the professional kind!
