Comments:
This lathe is not mine—it was spotted for sale in the Ottawa Kijiji. This is the first generation of the L6 12-inch lathe. Headstock gears are hobbed from solid castings. Spindle has 1 3/8" opening and runs on an opposed pair of Timken tapered roller bearings at the front and a ball bearing at the rear. Has an American "long taper" type L00 nose, which is common on lathes of the era.
