I purchased this in February 2017 at an industrial auction in Denver. I was attracted to it because of its good looks and the fact that it appeared to be complete. Aside from repairs to the tool rests, it proved to be original, just grimy and rusty. The 2hp 3ph motor ran, albeit noisily.
Restoration was straightforward, involving mostly de-rusting and cleaning. Rather than replace the bearings I chose to remove the shields and re-grease them. The grinding wheels had worn down to less than 5" in diameter. I was agonizing about paying new prices for those large wheels when I stumbled upond a pair of 10" x 1-1/2" wheels at a home shop sell-off a couple of weeks ago, reinforcing my faith in serendipity. I painted the machine with Rustoleum hammered brown and Rustoleum appliance almond. I put it on a wheeled platform, which made it just about the right height for my use. A little bit of stability is forfeited, but no problem.
The company is still making that model, and their web site indicates that it looks pretty much the same.
