Given to me by a friend whose father taught high school Industrial Arts in Tucson, AZ. The "renovation' was minimal; wash it down with "Oil eater" (works great for caked on sawdust/pitch), lubricate a few sliding surfaces, clean the machined surfaces with 320 wet/dry sandpaper and WD40, dismantle and hose out the motor (yes, with a garden hose), replace the original dry motor bearings with sealed bearings, sharpen the knives and get a new drive belt. The knife drum bearings seem perfectly fine. About the last stage is to find some wheels so I can get the stand off the furniture dolly. I built a chip chute so I can attach the dust collector.
I would be obliged for any information/documentation regarding the machine's age, or knife setting protocol. At present one has to physically hold the knife in place while the gib is secured.

After a good scrubbing, then remounted on stand made by original owner.

I added the chip chute. A 4" duct collector fitting will go on eventually.

The motor cleaned up nicely. Replaced bearings and it runs very smoothly.

The motor was packed with mud dauber wasp nests. Wish I could add more pictures of what came out..
