This machine was ostensibly used for 55 years by the seller who claimed his dad had bought it when he (the son) was 17. That would put the purchase date at ~1962. We have so few H&A catalogs archived here that I couldn't say if it was manufactured then. This model does appear in the 1939 and '41 Blue Star catalogs and in an undated H&A catalog archived here. The serial number is incidentally quite close to the one of these uploaded by Jeff Joslin.
The machine has not been abused but it has definitely seen some use. It could use new bearings and a thorough cleaning and lubing.
