This pedestal grinder was made in Williamsport, Pa. It has a 1hp motor in the base which drives the arbor through a flat belt on two step pulleys. There is a hanging idler pulley inside which acts as a clutch by tightening the belt, which is controlled by the lever protruding from the base next to the switch. It takes 2" X 12" wheels, although one has been replaced with a wire wheel. I constructed and added the tilting table for tool support, since it didn't have any rests when I got it.
