Second of my saws--same description.
Typical 216 saw. I always thought they would make better plate sanders or grinders than table saws and I got the saws with the intention of attaching a 7" or 8" grinding wheel instead of a blade and running it slowly to shape and sharpen tools.
I got two of these saws along with a miter gauge, motor mounts, and the extra-long saw kit fence from a guy clearing his Dad's tools out of his barn in Boulder County. Colo. I was told that the father was an inventor and some of his other tools I acquired showed his inventiveness with small shop tools. My favorite is a homemade belt sander with rollers turned out of walnut and a big thick platen made out of piece of 1/4"-thick steel plate. It's my favorite for sharpening axes.

Patent numbers, saw 2. Interesting that it lacks the AM&T name here.
