Comments:

This tool was sitting in a field in Northern Maine in the 1970's. Though I was but a struggling farm worker, it pained me to see this tool out in the weather, being rained and snowed upon. The bed of the lathe consists of two hardwood beams app. 11 feet in length, so I think a post or column or whatever up to about 8 or 9 feet in length could be turned on this lathe. I have never powered it up.
