This is a Dake 25 ton press. We purchased this machine from A Glass Comp[any in Salinas CA, in 2014, they had used it in their metal fabrication shop. It has several dies that can be seen in the picture that are for the Hollow Metal Frame industry IE: Hinge prep die, Strike Dies etc.
It is a interesting press in that air pressure is what drives it. The air pressure, feeds the hydraulic pump that runs the press. So by pushing and holding a button that is part of an air switch, the hydraulics continue to add pressure to the mandrel until the job is accomplished, releasing the button stops the pressure and the mandrel pulls up from the work piece or die.
I found out that the press head is a Dake 25H That was used by RKS Tool and Die Inc. to build an air operated Hydraulic press to use with Dies for the Hollow Metal Frame Industry. They Build the Stand and add the Air Drive designed to work with their dies.
We have continued to use it in our metal fabrication shop.
It sits on top of a cabinet that I am sure was added at a later date.
