Comments:
This machine was purchased in Lecanto, FL. Origin and history unknown. It was on a pallet, so the assumption is that it was shipped from somewhere else. I never talked to the seller directly other than by Text messages. The bed is only about 40" long. I believe the guard is from a Rockwell unit. Also of note is the absence of a depth-of-cut indicator or any sign of one being installed at the factory. The large cast stand is also unusual for a Wallace Jointer. The stand alone is very interesting to me, it just doesn't fit...but then again it fits perfectly. It is unique enough to restore and handsome enough to use in my shop. I'm looking forward to surfacing with it. I have cleaned and dipped the castings in molasses, and can't wait to paint it but I'm having trouble selecting colors. I also want to do some type of embellishments.
