In this photo entry I'm going to show the 3 different types of head and table raising gear that W-T used over the years on their 15" DPs. Note that they all use the same basic gear and crank system. (An exploded view is shown in the last photo.)
W-T started with a unique lift piece for the head vs the table. For the head that lift piece fit between the motor mount and the back of the head. For the table there was a collar which screwed to the underside of the table collar, and there was a lift piece which fit onto that collar. (I'm not describing it very well, but if you look at the photos and the diagrams you'll see what I'm referring to.
When Kearney & Trecker bought W-T, they switched to a heavier universal collar which could ride under either the head or the table.
