This machine was spotted at an auction. Unfortunately I did not manage to be the high bidder. It is a drill grinder, designed to sharped drill bits.

For drill grinding drills from # 70 to 1" dia, these rugged, high precision drill point sharpeners are designed for rapid, accurate sharpening of drills, even by the least experienced operator.
The long life of these machines is confirmed by the large number of machines originally built in the 1920's and 30's still in daily operation.
