Purchased from the well know classified site from the grandson of the original owner. He recalled his grandfather and father using the shaper to make many things, but he never had used it himself. I think I will pretty much leave "as-is", the paint looks pretty good, the table is clean. Bearings, belt, and if I can find one a proper motor (came with a 60's era Craftsman motor).
I've only seen one other Craftsman branded version of this shaper with the 534.09741 model number. After Atlas acquired Power King, the Craftsman branded version had a 101.09741 model number. The Atlas 3500 is very similar to this machine.
