This machine came out of Ausable Woodworking Co. Frederic, MI., which was in business from 1927 until recently. Originally designed to be run from an overhead line shaft, it was converted to 3 phase electric at some point. I was able to buy this and several other machines from the business.

Comments: Right side view. The adaptation to being run by a motor might be an OEM option, because the lower casting attaching the post to the base is a darn good fit. It had a jig bolted to the table for sharpening long planner blade.
