This band saw was bought by a customer friend of mine off the Austin Texas Craigslist in 2014. A long haired hippy dude was selling off all his Carpenter Uncles Delta machines he bought new in Houston in the 1950's...
This band saw was in really excellent original condition on the original Delta splayed leg stand, it had a nice older 1950's Century 1/3-hp motor with this band saw. I did a compete tear down restoration and added a HUGE HEAVY Delta 1930's 1-HP 1725rpm repulsion motor I had on hand that need to be on an open type stand to physically fit. Everything was repainted in Awl Grip dark gray 2-part urethane topcoat system. This band saw runs so SMOOTH with this huge beast motor on it and the blade tracks absolutely perfect, best I ever seen so far on any band saw project I've worked on.
