I picked this up from Craigslist. The previous owner said he didn't use it much anymore and was ready to sell it. I was told the bearings were recently replaced (meaning re-poured) since they are still babbitt type. It seems to run fine. The motor is rigged to the front foot and protrudes off to the side of the machine. I want to tuck the motor under the machine which means turning it 180 degrees which would also require reversing the motor. If the motor is not reversible I plan to replace it. The switch box is not working. The previous owner had it rigged direct and turned the man breaker on and off for use. I will get the switch replaced or functional before using it. It has some sort of contactor box but I am guessing it might have been 3 phase and the previous owner could not make it work with the single phase mote now in place. I have 3 of the four pieces of the guard, one part is cracked but I believe I can make a replacement. The machine is impressive by sure, size and simplicity.
