I acquired this on New Years Eve of 2016. I had wanted to purchase it when i saw it in the classifieds on this site, as it was both local and affordable, but when I contacted the seller he said it was already in negotiations for sale, so I continued my quest for a 36" bandsaw.
About a month later, he contacted me and said that the sale had not gone through, and it was now available again, so I could have dibs on it if I still wanted it. I had not anticipated the purchase, but he accepted a deposit and held it for me for a couple of weeks til' I had the rest of the cash.
I built a building on the front of my house to keep it safe and dry, and that houses the frame, while the wheels, tables, guides, trunion, tensioner and the like stay in the living room. I'll have her up and running when the weather gets nice, and will primarily use it to resaw lumber for building my new house, as this one has become a shop, and I need a place to live that is not full of machines, although I think there will be machines inside my new living room too.
Anyhow, I need to get a motor, belts, and design a set of wheel covers and blade guards, but other than that and some small things like a wobble in the upper guide bearing assemblies thrust bearing, it has already been beautifully restored and well cared for in the company of other machines of similar aspect.
This is my first 36" bandsaw, but I have only been questing for them since August-September of 16', so I'm off to a grand start indeed!
