This lathe was acquired during 2003. It was formerly owned by a gentlemen who worked in the Lawrence-Livermore Labs, in the San Francisco Bay Area, prior to his retirement. The lathe is thought to have come from that facility. It came to me in sound condition. It has not been used for many years and was in need of general maintenance, a good clean-up and a coat of paint. It did not have a set of leg or an appropriate cabinet and so I built a cabinet with a 1.5" thick plywood top.
