This jointer is the property of David Barry of Natural Wood Designs in the Halifax area of Nova Scotia. In Dave's words, "I was up in Scotsburn NS recently looking at some wood that a fella was selling when I spotted this beauty of a jointer just sitting there in his barn. After talking to the old boy and getting some history of where the jointer came from, which was from the old ship builders place in Pictou I bought the piece in which I will fully restore and have in my new workshop next year. A real pleasure to find a piece of old machinery with some real history."
The company name on the jointer dates it to between 1904 and 1910.
