I found this Drill Press at a local welding shop. After some conversation I realized my Grandfathers machine shop owned this press years ago and sold it to the welding shop many years ago. When the welding shop owner told me he has been trying to sell it i said " I will buy it." Not a good way to start a negotiation. I wanted it and did not care about the price I grew up at my grandfather machine shop. I have so many wonderful memories of spending time watching my Grandfather work with this drill press. The best memories I have is when he smashed his finger tip and the finger nail was black and swelling up. My grand father clamped his finger in this drill press and promptly drilled a small hole in his finger nail. As a young boy this blew my mind my Grandpa was bigger than life. So I now have this press in my hobby barn.
