So this machine came to me as a get it out of my garage before I scrap it sort of deal. Looking to just get it running and use it. No restoration plans at this point. The p.o. said he got it from a barn down the road from his house that was being torn down. Near as I can tell there was not many GV's made.

[ADMIN NOTE: The serial number puts this saw's date of manufacture in 1942. But the DeWalt product timeline says that the model GV was made in 1938 and '39. Based on this conflicting information I filled in the Date Manufactured.]

Update: I sold this saw June 2019
