I bought this machine back in 2014 from a guy off of craigslist. It had a few issues the carriage travel was not working and the clutch for the main drive spindle would not engage. After diagnosing the problem and making the necessary repairs and full restoration it is without a doubt a great ridged lathe. I had made some upgrades by adding a DRO and a VFD along with all new wiring and switches. I also changed the color after stripping the machine down to bare metal. I primed the machine with a 2 part epoxy called metal salvage from parts master. The final coat was a sherwin Williams marine coating B56B300 in black. The stripping and lettering was done with gold liquid the stainless steel color was from parts master as well . This Color scheme was taken from a photo found on practical machinists with a few tweaks. It's a solid machine I enjoy it and I would caution anyone interested in one of these machines if you don't know how to repair machines and the one your looking at has issues. Know this Cincinnati lathe company is still in operation but.... they have nothing in stock but they can make the part from spec but it's gonna cost you your retirement unless you have the knowledge and machine to make your own. So the moral of this story is if your not sure or your buddies not a pro then passsss. But if you no your shyite and everything is a go this machine will not disappoint you
