I found this 6" jointer on a cast iron stand up outside of Colfax, CA. This was posted with a photo but the seller referred to it as a DeWalt planer with an asking price of $50. I called the seller and made arrangements to drive up to look at it. When I got there, the seller told me he had posted it for several weeks and finally lowered the price though I look at CL religiously and do not recall seeing it previously. I explained to him how I found the ad and that he had it posted incorrectly but he was insistent that he would hold to the $50 asking price. The story as told by the seller is that his family had this machine in their cabinet shop down in Southern California and he moved up here to Northern California many years ago. As he was elderly now himself, he had to move to an assisted living facility down the hill and out of the snow so he was cleaning out his garage. I have restored the machine and stand with the exception of the missing Delta tag which was too far gone. I have since happened upon a long-bed jointer that I will mount to this stand once I complete its restoration.
