Bet you didn't think Delta made variable speed band saws, way back in 1953 even - and single phase, yet! (LOL) Well not really....turns out that the older gentleman who owns this saw has a farm near Hanover, PA, and a SERIOUS tractor restoration hobby. He needed a metal cutting band saw, so he modified this one using a small, variable speed conveyor belt motor! Quite impressive and very quiet. The original paint is in great condition, but the serial number on this 'Delta Milwaukee' badged saw indicates that it was made in Bellefountaine, Ohio, in 1953, with left over tags...
