I have enough grinders so when I saw a ratty Belsaw at the local flea market I stopped to admire the grinder's table set-up but didn’t seriously consider buying it. While I rummaged through the market for stuff I didn’t already have the grinder's table started worming its way into my head and by the end of the day I went back to look again – I figured if it was still there I’d make an offer. It was still there.

I cleaned it up, scraped and painted the stand and while waiting for parts for the original Delco/Belsaw block grinder, installed a Craftsman block grinder I had that wasn't getting much use. I also had a magnifier light waiting for a home so I attached that as well.

It's missing its left guard and some of the saw sharpening components but since I was most interested in its knife grinding capabilities, those are things that will just give me something to look for at the flea market.

The grinder table is great and the weird feed mechanism (knobs in front and back of the grinder) works wonderfully - I think Belsaw was onto something here!
