this driver line Walker-Turner bench drill press belonged to father-in-law. not used in over (I think) 50 years.....
being disabled could not get up to plate to read it. however wife copied following off plate:
Green Band Registered. The Driver Line. Walker-Turner Co, Inc, Plainfield, N.J. AC motor. Type AX. H.P. 1/3
Cycles 60. RPM 1725. Frame 44-17. Volts 110. Phase 1. Amps 6.
Tried registering on OWWM.ORG but that's a joke. always being rejected for failure proper word for the 'ROBOT' box.
tried going onto discussion board but I get back to OWWM with which I can't register..... So, I can't get any information on my Walker-Turner drill press as with: model, when made, and trade value. Any help for a Vet. ??
p.s. there is a grinding wheel at bottom of motor shaft.......
Admin BAK, 10/24/2016:
This appears to be a W-T Series 700 drill made for Sears under the Craftsman logo (see head casting) in the early to mid-1930s.
If you are having problems with joining OWWM, go to the support forum and post your issue (you don't have to be registered to do that).
Do NOT ask about valuation, it is against the rules. No exceptions.
For further information on your drill, you can look at all the publications posted on the Vintagemachinery.org site under Walker-Turner.
EDIT: See the 1935 Sears Craftsman Catalog, Page 23. Admin:DG
